This was our first trip to Oak Island. We were thrilled with the location and accommodations.The check in and check out service was quick and very welcoming. The home was large enough to fit 3 families comfortably. And we couldn't ask for a better view or proximity to the beach.The town was so peaceful, the water and weather perfect!. There was a problem with the door, and we were told it would be fixed. We waited ,but eventually fixed it ourselves because with small children in the house, we needed to have the door stay closed! The owners called to check in and were so friendly. They are so kind as to let others enjoy their home. We would definitely stay here again!

Spent a great week at the beach with family. Loved all the local restaurants and the relaxed atmosphere on the island.The Pink Pelican was roomy enough that we weren't on top of each other, but cozy enough that we enjoyed family time together. We weren't aware that we were the house next to the public beach access. We were early enough in the season that this wasn't an inconvenience, but could see how it could be an issue during peak season. The girls loved sunning on the deck instead of the beach, and the two outdoor showers reallly came in handy!! We would definitely return to the Pink Pelican.
