My mother lives nearby in Southport and we come at least once a year to see her and stay in a beach house. At least one of my brothers and I and our families gather at a house and we have done this every year for 12 years.This is absolutely our most favorite house and we are excited for our next oppurtunity to revisit it. There are excellent views of the beach, ocean, inland water way and Bald Head island from this house. Wonderful and nicely equipped kitchen for a group of people for cooking and gathering. The downstairs master bedroom was just excellent for my mother who is older and ill health. She was able to just sit in this room either in the comfortable chairs or on the bed and enjoy views of the ocean and wonderful ocean breezes. The doors to this open right up to the wonderful porch making it easy for her to be with the family but also have private time when she needed rest. My brother and his wife were able to enjoy the 2nd master bedroom upstairs with its spaciousness and excellent views from the upper balcony. We actually got to stay quite by chance as we had reserved another home and there was some mix up with the owners of that home overlapping our stay. We love Caswell beach part of the island so Margaret Rudds staff was quick to offer us this as an alternative to the other house. This was an incredible blessing being able to stay on Caswell beach and enjoy this house with an even better proximity to the beach and outstanding views. The other house was an ocean front home as well , however this home surpasses any where we have stayed for awesome views and access to this part of the beach that we love! Thank you to the owners for sharing this spectacular home. All of your decorating touches, art etc. are thoroughly enjoyable as well. We have always been extremely pleased with the excellent staff at Margaret Rudd.
