The rental had what we needed to enjoy a week at the beach. The home was comfortable for our family. The biggest disappointment was that all the chairs on the porch were broken and the swing was on the floor. None could be used.

My family has been going to Oak Island since 1998. We have rented several properties using different realtors. We love Southern Cross. The west end of the island is quiet and beautiful. The home is very well maintained with a great vacation layout. The kitchen and eating areas are better than larger we stayed in or looked at. The owners call each year on the first Sunday to make sure everything is to our liking. You will not find a nicer large family home. The staff at Margaret Rudd are second to none. Those who have been there since we started renting know me by name when I arrive each year. They take personal interest in your vacation experience and will do anything to make it better. If I was buying property in the area, they would be my realtor.
