Since 1795, Southport, North Carolina has had an official 4th of July celebration. In 1957, Southport became the official home of the North Carolina Fourth of July Festival.

The 3-4 day festival features a variety of events that include an arts and crafts fair, art exhibition at the art gallery, street dances, live bands on the waterfront, sailboat races, a parade, and a most spectacular fireworks display over the harbor.

The Town of Southport welcomes visitors from all over the country and all over the world for the festivities. We hope you will join us for our 4th of July celebration this year.
