Accounting & Bookkeeping Specialist

A well-qualified and experienced accounting professional is needed in the property management department. Qualified candidates should possess a definite understanding and knowledge of basic accounting operations with the ability to adapt to company-specific procedures and requirements, a willingness to assist co-workers, tenants, property owners and vendors with courtesy and a positive attitude, and must demonstrate a high level of professionalism. The Accounting & Bookkeeping Specialist will be expected to perform a variety of job duties and tasks on a daily, monthly and annual basis to include cash drawer management, credit card processing, bank deposits, filing, reconciliations, bill payment, invoicing, and reporting.

Competitive Candidates Must Meet the Following Qualifications

  • Preferred background in accounting and property management
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to perform all tasks with highest level of accuracy
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with rental software and/or a willingness to learn
  • Experience using an adding machine
  • Understanding of a written ledger and entries
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to work independently or as a team, efficiently
  • Flexibility with ability to work weekends (including holidays)

Position Requirements

  • Reliable transportation with up-to-date auto insurance
  • Valid driver's license and social security number
  • Clean background and criminal check
  • Letters of reference from prior employer
  • Authorization to work in the United States
