15th Amendment to State of Emergency
The Town of Oak Island distributed its 15th Amendment to its State of Emergency Declaration today, September 3, 2020. As previously communicated, with the information provided Margaret Rudd & Associates will begin facilitating arrivals tomorrow, September 4, 2020.
The reality of the situation for some of our properties is that they will not be ready to facilitate check-ins due to damages and/or needed repairs. By now, guests who are scheduled to arrive September 4, 2020 or thereafter to those damaged properties should have received an email or phone call from our staff to discuss the options available to them.
Margaret Rudd & Associates, Inc. will continue to offer the following options to guests whose rental properties will not be suitable for check-in on their scheduled arrival date:
- Affected guests may reschedule their vacation. Guests may choose to reschedule their travel dates. Guests must select new travel dates within 2020 and pay the rental rate for the new travel dates. All monies paid toward their current reservation will be transferred to the new stay; or,
- Affected guests may opt for a refund of monies paid on their reservation. Refunds will be processed within 14 days, but could take up to 30 days, and will be applied to the original form of payment.
We welcome guests to reach out to us through email to email@example.com with any questions or for clarification on the options available.
Guests who are on property and staying with us will notice limited parking and beach access due to areas being used as sand collection sites for hurricane recovery. Below is a screenshot from the Town website showing Access and Parking Information as of September 3, 2020.
