Take the immediate right out of our parking lot and bear right at the stop light on to E Oak Island Drive. Continue on E Oak Island Drive, through to the third stop light. Make a left on to Middleton Avenue. At the stop sign, make a right on to W Beach Drive. The numbers will ascend and you will find 4511 W Beach Drive on your left.

Reviewed on 2020-06-18 by Seth Fair , Springboro, Ohio USAWe absolutely loved the location of this cottage. It's place in an area where there is only one row and no public access is super close. We also liked the layout of the cottage. It was nice to banish the kids to the loft area. Also loved the deck area felt secure with the gate up top and the two staircases down. We didn't like that it felt dirty. We know it's an older home and Margaret Rudd did send someone out to clean it again shortly after we got there. It looks like people just went around spraying stuff cleaning spray (I HOPE) on everything but didn't actually wipe it. Fans were REALLY dirty, ones on ceilings and in all the bedrooms. Several appliances NEED updated (Looking at you toaster and microwave). We also didn't get to use the swing as it was already broke before we got there. I noticed it as soon as we were unloading and I tried to sit down and almost put my arm through it. Maintenance came and took it but never brought back a replacement or anything. A bit disappointing. All in all, we love Oak Island and this house COULD be amazing. It need some TLC to earn a 5 star. To me, it's a 3.5 as it. By far our favorite location of any of the house we have stayed in at OKI.

The location is perfect as it borders a section of the beach with no development on it and nothing across the road behind it. It's tastefully decorated and well equipped. However, the kitchen is a bit small but certainly workable. Loved the big windows that allow you to overlook the beach and ocean. And the covered entry way with internal stairs is a plus. We rented for a week of fishing and had a great time. The temperature in the upstairs space can get a little warm in the afternoon though. The deck is nice and a huge plus. I would certainly stay here again.

Love this place...2nd time renters...beautiful location and property...well stocked...low seated toilets could be a struggle for older folks...suggest a larger kitchen trashcan...bring own bath mats and handicap grips for showers....and tub mat if older and prone to falls...will surely rent again in the future!!!
