Oak Island Lighthouse 5k, 10k & Half Marathon
Oak Island, NC
Whether you are participating or just cheering from the sidelines, the Lighthouse Fun Run is exciting and fun for all and follows a beautiful race route through Caswell Beach and Oak Island.

Come shopping for local produce, crafts and baked goods along the banks of the Cape Fear River.

Relay for Life Brunswick County
West Brunswick High School, Shallotte, NC

Come together to fight for a cure at the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Ride the Tide Kayak Float
Oak Island, NC
The Oak Island Recreation Center and The Adventure Kayak Company are sponsoring this kayak float and race from the Rec Center to Blue Water Point Marina. There will be various age group awards and kayak rentals are available.

Bridge to Bridge Triathlon
Oak Island, NC
Grab your swim suit and running shoes!  The 1st annual Bridge to Bridge Triathlon features a 750 yard swim, 18 mile bike ride, and a 4 mile run.

Annual NC 4th of July Festival Freedom Run
Southport Waterfront Park, Southport NC
5k run begins at 8:00am, 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 9:00am
The 5K and 1 mile Freedom Fun Run/Walk leaves from Southport’s Waterfront Park and is great fun for participants and observers.

NC 4th of July Festival Beach Day
Middleton Park Extension and Beachfront Cabana area, Oak Island, NC

This event is organized and sponsored by the Oak Island Parks and Recreation Department and features youth activities and contests, such as surfing and skating, beach music and shag contest (sponsored by N.C. 4th of July Festival).

Phlock To the Beach Buffett Style Beach Bash
Southport – Oak Island Area
Dress like a Parrot Head and enjoy a ‘Buffett’ style beach bash starting with a Pub & Grub Crawl Firday night. Continue the party on Saturday with beach volleyball and Bocce ball tournaments, concerts, free contests for adults and children alike. So much food and fun there’s something for everyone!

Annual U.S. Open King Mackerel Tournament

Come down for the biggest fishing event of the year, whether you’re entering to win or just want to watch- there’s plenty to do for everyone!
