Oak Island Public Beach Access with Restrooms

Portable restrooms are available at the following beach access locations:

  • The Point (end of W Beach Drive)
  • Kings Lynn Drive
  • 14th Place East
  • NE 15th Street (Veterans Park)

Oak Island Beach Access Parking

Almost all of the public beach access points listed offer parking near the access point location. There are spaces for resident and visitor parking. Signs are posted if a space is reserved for residents, and only those with Town decals may park in resident spaces.

Paid Parking on Oak Island

Oak Island has instituted a paid parking policy which affects public parking all along the island between the months of April and September, and within the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm. Please note that if you are staying in one of our Oak Island vacation homes and are close enough to walk or bike, we do recommend doing so. We also ask that you and those joining you are mindful of the parking area provided at the property you have rented as illegal parking is not permitted or allowed, and will result in potential ticketing and/or towing.
