Overall

was directed to house via text, could not get in, called MRA, was able to get in immediately remotely with five minutes, got in and found AC not working around 2:00pm, by 8:00pm that evening the air was fixed, very satisfied as always with the prompt service we get from Margaret Rudd Realty!! House was nice too!!

Overall

At first glance we found the living room furniture a bit grubby but loved the layout of the cottage and the location. On our last day they began the sand push creating dunes blocking our view of the ocean. If that is a permanent and perhaps necessary solution to the erosion we will not return because the view of the ocean is the best especially for my husband who can't enjoy the swimming due to his poor balance.

Thank you for your 4-star review of your time in Seaforth. We appreciate your honest review of the living area furniture and will definitely share that feedback with the homeowners as this is a new property to our rental market. The sand pushing is a temporary solution to the dunes being completely washed away during Hurricane Isaias. Unfortunately, it is completely necessary otherwise any future storm would take the oceanfront properties without the dunes being there to protect them. The Town worked to push those dunes and then will meet to discuss cutting in pathways along the island. While we would love to have some control over the situation, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature, local governments, CAMA and the Turtle Nesting season as it pertains to dune replacement, etc. We hope the situation will resolve itself by the time you plan your next Oak Island getaway; however, we are not at liberty to say how it will turn out in the future and can only hope to be able to welcome you and your husband back to the area.
