Family fun awaits during an 80th Anniversary Celebration of the end of World War II. Explore Fort Fisher’s role as an anti-aircraft training facility during World War II. Military and civilian re-enactors will be available to discuss the lives of the male and female soldiers, as well as family life on the homefront. Other special activities include an indoor presentation "USMC in 1941" at 11:00 a.m. and an authentic 1943 Willys jeep for family photo ops. The program is free and open to the public.
