Many a memory has been made on a family road trip and getting their can be half the fun! Oak Island, North Carolina is conveniently located in Brunswick County, about 45 minutes north of Myrtle Beach, SC and 45 minutes south of Wilmington, NC.
Before you hit the open road, make sure you have all the necessities for an event-free trip by checking the following:

- Check the oil and tire pressure
- Cooler (drinks, water, snacks)
- Maps / GPS
- Books and magazines
- Portable DVD player
- iPod or MP3 player
- Blankets and pillows

From the South
Follow US-17 North and turn RIGHT on Route 211 South in Supply, NC. Travel 14 miles to NC-133 South (Long Beach Road) and turn RIGHT at the intersection. Once you cross the Intracoastal Waterway to Oak Island, the MRA office is just on the RIGHT at 210 Country Club Drive.
From the North
From I-40 East, take EXIT 416-A to I-140/US-17 South toward Brunswick County Beaches and US-17. Then follow US-421 South to NC-133 South (Long Beach Road) to Oak Island. Once you cross the Intracoastal Waterway to Oak Island, the MRA office is just on the RIGHT at 210 Country Club Drive.
From the Wilmington Airport (ILM)
Take a LEFT onto North 23rd Street. Turn RIGHT onto Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway / US-74 West. Merge onto NC-133 South following it to Oak Island.
