Maintenance Technician
An experienced and accountable maintenance technician is needed to support Margaret Rudd & Associates’ property management department with general repairs, including technical and mechanical items, and service tasks for its rental properties and 3 office buildings. Qualified candidates must be available on a part-time or full-time basis with weekend availability and must be willing to ensure that properties meet Company standards with regards to appearance, safety, and overall function when performing tasks. The maintenance technician will work with supervisors, fellow technicians, in-office staff, owners, guests and outside vendors; and, therefore, the technician should be comfortable communicating in a timely, efficient manner.
Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, completing and updating assigned work orders, troubleshooting minor plumbing problems, changing property light bulbs and fixtures, replacing smoke detectors and batteries, assisting with door lock issues, and painting. Technicians will perform minor repairs such as replacing deck boards, fixing loose nails and railings, etc.
Competitive Candidates Must Meet the Following Qualifications
- Preferred background in maintenance, specifically property management experience
- Reliable, hardworking, honest, punctual, clean and well spoken
- Strong attention to detail and desire to perform all tasks with highest level of efficiency and accuracy
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills with ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to perform general repairs, grounds clean-up and routine maintenance service tasks
- Ability to complete documentation and work order updates in a timely, accurate and complete fashion
- Familiarity with rental software &/or a willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
- Demonstrated experience in customer service and comfortability interacting with guests and owners as needed

- Reliable transportation with up-to-date auto insurance
- Valid driver’s license and social security number
- Excellent driving record
- High school diploma
- Clean background and criminal check
- Authorized to work in United States
